Built in 1957 as V745D N7471 for Capital Air Lines but that fell through so it was converted to V798D and is here on delivery. In 1968 it was sold and became an executive transport with numerous owners until put on display at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum in 1992 wearing Capital livery as N7471. [The negative envelope for this says 1959, but 1958 makes more sense and agrees with other sources.]

First registered in 1953 ex NL929 and here it looks to be getting a major overhaul. In October 1962 it was exported as SE-COO then later wrecked when it struck the ground during aerobatics on 26 September 1981 at Eskilstuna (ESSU). [The fin leaning up against the hangar wall belongs to a Pou du Ciel and has the inscription 'The Angus Flea', which might mean something to someone.]

A low-light shot taken at slow shutter speed judging by the blurred figure at extreme left. Originally delivered to Air India in 1948 as VT-CQS then sold to Qantas in 1951 as VH-EAF. It was used for the Royal Tour of Australia in 1954 then sold to BOAC as G-ANTF. In 1957 it went to the USA as N9816F and was leased as above. Restored as G-ANTF in 1964 to Ace Freighters and suffered 'minor damage' when it was landed wheels-up at Aden due to gear failure. Re-entered service until withdrawn at EGBE in 1967 and languished until set on fire in February 1970. Remains scrapped in 1971.
