This 1985-production Metro was delivered to Wings West as N26838 in April 1986. In 1988 it was re-registered as N350AE, and in 1993 was placed in storage. Sold in Australia, it was re-registered VH-SSV to Newcastle Aviation on 27 September 1993. From the following year it was operated by Pel-Air Express, with a brief lease to Qwestair. In 2000 it was briefly re-registered VH-EER before returning to VH-SSV. In July 2001 it was re-registered again as VH-EEJ. Seen here awaiting disposal.

Even the old Metro can look good with the right colour scheme! This 1984 Metro was orignally registered in the USA as N2698C. It was re-registered VH-OZN(2) on 3 September 2007.

This 1985 Metro has an interesting history. Originally N614AV with Air Virginia; became Nashville Eagle. Then to Flagship Airlines, then Wings West. In 1987 operated for American Eagle. At some stage reacquired by Fairchild & converted to prototype Fairchild Multi Mission Surveillance Aircraft, carrying a phased-array radar in a long pod under the fuselage. Returned to standard configuration & exported to Australia, becoming VH-SSZ 29 September 1994. VH-EES since Jul 2001. Now awaiting disposal.

Went on lease to Aero Condor in Peru in 9.94, after which she stayed mainly in South America, winding up in Venezuela as YV-1000C with Helitec in 3.02. Re-registered in 2007 as YV171T

Although now clearly wfu, this Metro has been with Swazi Express since acquisition in New Zealand in 2002. Originally a Horizon Air machine

Just a few weeks old at the time of the shot, displaying a registration formerly used by a Delta 727. Changed to N352AE in 9.97 and sold as ZK-RCA in 8.94, becoming VH-SEZ in 12.02

Seen in Wings West's own colours before repaint into American Eagle c/s. Bought by Peninsula Airways in 12.93 and became N670PA. Damaged in heavy landing at Saint Paul Island Airport, AK on 3.5.96 and scrapped a couple of years later when repair plans abandoned
