Delivered new to BEA 14th Jan 1969, merged into British Airways Apr 1974 and donated to Stansted Airport Fire Services. Flown EGLL-EGSS 5th March 1986 and finally scrapped Sep 2003

Served with PIA until July 1970, then 232 of CAAC until 1975, thereafter 50056 of PLAAF. Currently (2021) preserved at PLAAF museum, Datangshan (March 1988).

This was the final livery for Glasgow Airport's fire service training aid Trident before it was broken up.

The Trident three in the background is carrying the earlier British Airways livery.

The nose section of this aircraft is preserved at Farnborough.

Seen in a basic Northeast Airlines livery after the take-over by British Airways.

In Northeast Airlines (UK) colours with British Airways titles. Trident 1Es weren't selling. Hawker Siddley built 15 but only sold 10. They needed to offload 5 white tails. Channel Airways agreed to buy them. then reduced its order to two. Two of three due to go to Channel, G-AVYC and 'D were then sold to Newcastle-based BKS Air Transport in 1969. In November 1970, BKS changed its name to Northeast Airlines. In July 1973, Northeast became part of the British Airways group. Hence the hybrid livery you see in the picture. It had been repainted into British Airways before it was destroyed in a take-off accident at Bilbao in 1975.
