The real 53-6634 crashed on 1956-07-16 with pilot safely ejected. This airframe was built up by merging the front fuselage from 53-6646 50-30 (wfu 1970-07-08) and possibly the tail from 53-6637 50-10 (wfu 1970-08-10). It was initially displayed in Vedelago as 51-30, then as 51-37. It was transferred to the Museum of Cerasolo close to Rimini, where it was restored and saw in 1994 painted as fake 5-36591 with "Getti Tonanti" livery. Same fake serial and livery is on the F-84F 53-6988 at Rivolto. Many thanks to Daniele Mattiuzzo of VMAS (Veneto Military Aviation Society) for the precious information.

Landed for a refuelling stop with ZA589 (31 Sqn), ZA600 (17 Sqn) and ZD850 (17 Sqn). This one did not wear unit markings, but was indeed part of a mixed squadrons formation in transfer to or from Cyprus/Gulf

This aircraft is part of batch of 25 C-119J that were in storage at Davis Monthan and that were bought by the Italian Air Force to complement the then existing fleet of C-119G. They were delivered in the early months of 1964. This serial was withdrawn from use in 1973 and stored in Caselle. It remained there for a lot of years before being dismantled and transferred in storage at Nervesa della Battaglia in 2007. At that time the unit was still named 46th Aerobrigata, then 46th Brigata Aerea from 1985.

Delivered in 1956 to the Italian Air Force, it operated with the 3rd Aerobrigata, that was the former 3° Stormo. Sources quote that this was the last Thunderflash that made a flight in Italy before being withdrawn from use. It was initialli preserved at Ghedi AB; then for some years in Bresso (Milano), where it was nicely restored; finally at Cameri AB.

Delivered to the Italian Air Force in 1956 as MM80082 for SAR duties until 1964. On 1964-06-01 was civil registered and used by the Aero Club Varese. It then remained stored and not used in Bresso for several years before being delivered by Piaggio to GAVS Turin, for a restoration project still ongoing. GAVS (Gruppo Amici Velivoli Storici) is an Italian association founded in 1983 having the purpose to save aviation memories and aircrafts.

Nicknamed "Piaggione" by pilots, crews and aviation enthusiasts, this is an initial airframe that was displayed at the small aircraft collection of the Cameri AB. It was assigned to the 653 Squadriglia Collegamenti (Liason unit) of the 53° Stormo before being withdrawn from use in the mid 80s. It was then replaced in the static display of preserved aircraft by another P-166M of the same unit: MM 61927 coded 53-34.

This is the first of a dozen Albatross received by the Italian AF under the MDAP aid program. Delivered on 1958-03-26 . Withdrawn from use in July 1979, after a last flight from Ciampino to Biella, it remained for years in storage at this AeroClub, but abandoned. Approximately in 2002, it was partially dismantled and transferred by a CH-47 of the Italian Army to the collection of preserved aircraft in Cameri AB.

This preserved helicopter wore also insigna of the 53° Stormo and was also coded 53-95.

The real serial number of this aircraft is MM54106 identifying it as a T-6G. The fake MM53802 belongs to another Italian Air Force Texan, that was a T-6H-4M model.

This was the second Italian prototype (or 9th pre-series airframe) and the painting below the cockpit traces the hundreds flights, and its last flight on April, 17th 1986. The aircraft was preserved for years in Cameri in its original livery, then used for static display also at fairs in different fake grey liveries and also fake serial numbers! The following stickers can be recognized on the fuselage: MFG2, 311 Gruppo of RSV, Black Panthers of 155 Gruppo, Red Flash of 101 Gruppo and White Horse of 4 Stormo. Of these, only MFG2, RSV and 155 Gruppo really flew a Tornado
