This is Zenair CH-2000, C-FQCU, was registered to the company in June 1993. It is believed to be the prototype (serial 20-0001) which was certified in 1995 (the registration is painted under the wing). Zenair says that "the factory-assembled CH 2000 was built in the USA by AMD Inc. (sold as the ALARUS); in the Kingdom of Jordan by JAI (sold as the SAMA); and then in Peru, South America by Seman (sold as the ANTARQUI)". The CH-2000 is no longer built but four retired examples were photographed outside the Zenair factory at Huronia Airport (CYEE) in Tiny, Ontario on August 28, 2022.

This CH-2000, N49KA was built in the USA by Aircraft Manufacturing & Development Co. (AMD) in Georgia and later imported to Canada. The markings on the engine cowling indicate it was owned by "Richard Saint-George" in the province of Quebec by no Canadian registration seems to have been allocated to the aircraft. It was photographed outside the Zenair's Canadian factory at Huronia Airport (CYEE), Ontario.

New Global 7500 on the flight line at Bombardier's Downsview factory at the same time as De Havilland Aircraft of Canada was saying goodbye to its long time Toronto home since September 1929. There are two Global final assembly lines at Downsview: One for the Global 5500 and 6500 and another one for the Global 7500 and new 8000. All Global production will move to Toronto Pearson Airport (CYYZ) when Bombardier's new Global factory opens sometime in 2023. Downsview Airport will then close and be redeveloped.

Bombardier Inc. sold its 148-hectare Downsview factory and airport site in Toronto to the Public Sector Pension Investment Board in 2018 for redevelopment, and the runway will close sometime in the 2022-2023 to facilitate a major real estate redevelopment. Production of the Global 7500 (pictured), Global 6500, Global 5500 and new Global 8000 is going to move from Downsview to a new factory on the northwest side of Toronto Pearson Airport (CYYZ). All new Globals are flown "green" at YZD and flown to Montreal (YUL) for completion unless another completion center is specified by the customer.

On June 11, De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC) paid tribute to tens of thousands of employees who designed and built its iconic aircraft built in Toronto since the company was founded on March 5, 1928. The event marked the departure of the last DHC employees and aircraft from Downsview which was sold by Bombardier in 2018. Ten historic DHC aircraft were displayed. This Dash 7 flew in from Yellowknife, NWT and landed on Runway 33 at YZD which will close in 2023. It was delivered new with a cargo door to Air Niugini in PNG in 1981. Air Tindi bought it from Voyageur Airways in 2003.

Porter Airlines shutdown all flight operations for more than a year as a result of Covid-19 with most of its fleet of 29 Dash 8-400s parked on an inactive runway at CYTZ until operations resumed. Later this year, the airline will launch its first jet operations with a new fleet of 30 Embraer E195-E2s ordered in July 2021. All jet operations (except air ambulance flights) are banned from Toronto's downtown airport (CYTZ) so the E195-E2's must operate from CYYZ and other airports. The DHC-8-400 is seen flying over YTZ's historic 1939 terminal which was moved to allow new terminal construction.

Air Atonabee was acquired by Victor Pappalardo in 1984 and renamed City Express. A pair of DHC Dash 7's (including C-GGXS, ex-4X-AHB) from Arkia Israel Airlines launched commuter service between Toronto Island Airport (YTZ), Ottawa (YOW) and Montreal (YUL). City Express ceased operations in Feb. 1991, but C-GGXS went to Pappalardo's Trans Capital Airlines and later flew for the UN. It was one of seven Trans Capital Dash 7s sold to Air Tindi in March 2021. At least five Dash 7s are still parked at YTZ (2 x Trans Capital & 3 x Air Tindi) near the relocated 1939 airport terminal building.
