Advanced trainer ex 41-17529 preserved airworthy in USAAC markings.

A forerunner of the Republic P-47, the P-35 was the USAAC first production single-seat, all-metal pursuit plane with retractable landing gear and an enclosed cockpit. Of the 76 P-35s accepted into service, this example on display at the National Museum of the USAF is the only known survivor. It served with the 94th Pursuit Squadron, 1st Pursuit Group and is marked as the plane flown by the 17th Pursuit Squadron commander in the Philippines in the spring of 1941. Marked as P-35A 41-17449 in the TDB, but actual identity is USAAF 36-404 (a P-35).

1940-built two-seat advanced trainer version of the USAAC P-35 fighter. Ordered by Sweden but the contract for 50 was frozen and they became AT-12 Guardsmen in the USA, this example as 41-17529. Now preserved as NX55539 at Chino in USAAC markings of the period.

The EP-106 was an export version of the Seversky P-35 fighter. 60 machines were delivered to Sweden in 1940. This one was later fitted out as a photo reconnaissance aircraft as you can see.
