It was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 5 Sep'79. It was first temporarely assigned to the multinational MOT&E team, but later assigned to the F-16 Transitie en Conversie Afdeling (TCA, Transition and Conversion Unit) at Leeuwarden, then swapped between 315sq, 323sq, 312sq and 311sq before it was stored at Woensdrechts air base in July 1996. It was scrapped on 1 October 1998.

After the other F-16s were upgraded, they cycled this one into the MLU program using major parts of a Norwegian F-16 (notably the tail) to patch it up. It was rolled out in December 2023 and participated in this year's parade to celebrate 80 years of armed forces (HUT Ke-80 TNI.)
