G.D.G. Aviation Inc. is a Quebec firm specializing in the control of biting insects using Bacillus thuringiensis serotype israelensis (BTI) which is a naturally occurring larvicide which is toxic to mosquitos and black fly larvae. G.D.G. uses ground crews, fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters to drop BTI in wetlands. In April 2016, GDG had two Bells and two Cessna 188s based at Mascouche Airport (CSK3) working north of Montreal. More than 100 aircraft were evicted when CSK3 airport permanently closed on Nov. 15, 2016. Bell 206B C-GIVV was imported to Canada in 1986 and is ex-N2757C.

This DHC-3 Otter has spent most of its commercial life flying in Quebec since 1971. It was seen in April 2016 at Montréal / Laval - Saint-François airport and seaplane base, which is a private facility owned by Clement Contant and his son Simon. It doesn't appear on any aviation charts, probably because of the high voltage electric power lines crossing the property! In early 2000, C-FAZX was converted to an Orenda Orenda V8 piston engine, in 2012 to a TRACE piston engine and in March 2018 back to a R-1340 radial engine for Air Tunilik. The prototype Bell 230, C-GEXP, on a test flight over Mirabel Airport on Sep. 11, 1991. After 222B/222UT production ended in the late 1980s, Bell relaunched the line in Mirabel, Quebec as the Model 230 with RR/Allison 250-C30 engines replacing the 222's LTS101s. Two original 222B and 222UT prototypes became 230 prototypes. C-GEXP was originally a 222UT (msn 47503, N3177U and later N35AZ). The first 230 prototype flew on August 12, 1991. This airframe later received a cabin stretch and 4-blade rotor to become a Bell 430 prototype. It's been displayed for many years in front of the Bell Helicopter Textron Canada plant.

This brand new Ontario Provincial Police stopped to refuel at the Canadian Helicopters heliport (CSH6) at Les Cèdres airport, Quebec while flying patrols along the St Lawrence River that forms the border between eastern Ontario and northern New York State. The aircraft was registered to the OPP three weeks earlier on May 10 following completion at the Eurocopter Canada Ltd. facility in Fort Erie, Ontario. The EC135 replaced a AS355F Twin Star carrying the same registration.

In 2008, ExelTech Aerospace built this built this 150,000 sq ft. hangar and office building southeast of the button of Runway 24E at Montréal - Trudeau Airport (YUL) for its aircraft maintenance business. A unique aspect of the design is that it was the largest wooden hangar constructed in Canada in decades, featuring glued-laminated timber beams and columns and underlying glued-laminated timber beams. ExelTech went bankrupt in 2010 and in June of that year Bombardier bought the facility to increase its completion center capabilities for its Global 5000 and Global Express XRS business jets.

With the closure of the Bomarc missile base in 1971, RCAF La Macaza became the site of a prison in 1978 and the adjacent airport opened for civilian use. Growth of the Mont-Tremblant resort (40-60 minutes away by road) saw customs facilities added in 2000 and Porter Airlines introduce seasonal Dash 8-400 service from Toronto (YTZ). The airport has a small chalet-style terminal building along the east side of the airport, south of the prison. The La Macaza airport is home for a small number of light aircraft and hosts a large number of business aircraft during the winter and summer.

In 1962, the Royal Canadian Air Force opened at airport near the town of La Macaza, 110 miles north of Montreal, Quebec. The 6,000 ft runway was constructed as an emergency landing field and to provide access to a base next to the airport which became home for 447 Squadron armed with 29 nuclear tipped CIM-10 Bomarc surface-to-air missiles which were part of NORAD defences (the other Bomarc unit was at RCAF North Bay, ON). The Bomarc was retired in 1971, the missile base turned into a prison in 1978, and the airport upgraded in 2000 to serve the nearby Mont-Tremblant ski resort.
