King's Airline taken on King's day ???????

After the ferry flight (marking its last flight ever) to The Netherlands, the registration 'PH-DDY' was reserved but not taken up. The aircraft was used for spare parts to keep c/n 42934 (ZS-NUR, 6901, ZS-NUR, 6902, PH-DDS, ZS-AUA) airworthy. The aircraft was transported to the museum by road and displayed in Government Air Transport colors with markings NL-316. Around 2018, she was repainted to represent the PH-TAR (which did exist at some point, c/n 42923). She now makes a nice eyecatcher at the children's playground at the museum.

Operated by the USAAF around 1942 as 42-107469. Later to an unknown owner as NC53103. To N53103 around November 1946, but cancelled again a month later as it became NC-registered again. To Philippine Airlines in 1948 as PI-C102. To Thai Airways in 1951 with the same registration. To HS-POE (1953), HS-TSA (August 1958) and the Thai Air Force (after 1958, as 42-107469). To Botswana in 1967 as VQ-ZEF, later to A2-ZEF. Became ZS-IPR in 1972. To the SAAF in 1981 as 6906. Put in storage in February 1994. Then to the Dutch Dakota Association (DDA) as PH-DDY, ferried to The Netherlands in June 1997.

Delivered new to KLM in September 1989. In October '95 to the KLM Asia fleet. left the fleet March 2018 for storage at Teruel. Scrapped January 2020.

KLM A330 once a common airliner in Bonaire now replaced B772 and B77W

Delivered new to the KLM in April 1997. left the fleet in October 2013 and ferried to Victorville (CA) and scrapped in December 0213.

Delivered to KLM 25 March 2021 and here seen cruisin' down taxiway Victor, on it's way to the active runway.

Delivered to KLM as 747-206B N1295E in 1980. Fitted with a stretched upper deck in 1984. Reregistered as PH-BUP in 1991. Stored at Mojave, CA in 2001. Reregistered as N94104 in 2002. Stored at Jakarta-CGK in 2004. Scrapped in 2010.

Ex. USAAF 42-23974, RAF FD938, SAAF 6867, ZS-NJE and G-BVOL (June 1994 - May 1996). When the aircraft first became preserved, it was already clear that it would be unfeasable to make it airworthy again. Although parts of it did become airborne again, after the wings, tail section and undercarriage were swapped with the PH-PBA, to restore the PH-PBA to airworthy condition. The aircraft is named after one of KLM's early days pilots, who has led quite an interesting life (which I only came to know while doing research).

Delivered to KLM in September 1978. Withdrawn from use and stored at Amsterdam (EHAM) on November 17, 2003. Acquired by the Aviodrome and preserved there on December 17, 2004.

Fleet review for the 15th anniversary of KLM. Behind the F.IX are Koolhoven FK.40 PH-AES, Fokker F.VIIb/3m PH-AFS, Carley Jumbo PH-AFI, Fokker F.VII PH-ACJ, F.VIIa PH-ADZ and F.II PH-RSL of the Dutch CAA - all older aircraft but modern types were also on show. OO-NAD is a DH.85 Leopard Moth. Operational behind the barrier are two foreign Ju 52s, F.XVIII PH-AIQ, FK.43 PH-AJL, F.VIIa PH-ADN, which was likely doing sightseeing flights, and some military Fokker biplanes farther behind.
