Yencha were on a routine reconnaissance mission operating from the USS Midway (CVA-41) when the RF-4B experienced a utility hydraulic failure. The RF-4B made an emergency landing, but sustained extensive structural damage. For this display she was modified to look like a F-4J, before being placed at El Centro in 2000.
