Seen in the older TAN livery, this Electra was originally Braniff's N9710C, and was destroyed in a crash in Honduras on 3/21/90..

Delivered new to Braniff Airways as N9710C in May 1962. Sold March 1968. Served TAN from August 1969, latterly as a freighter, until crashing in Honduras in March 1990.

Built new for Pan American as N6260C in June 1954 serving until September 1958. Later YA-DAO with Ariana Afghan and YS-38C with TACA. HR-TNQ with TAN from March 1973 until September 1979.

A regular visitor of Miami's international airport, taxiing to the cargo ramp under the hot Florida sun. During the late 1980s TAN operated two Electras into Miami, HR-TNL and this one. TNL was lost when it crashed into a mountain in March 1990, but TNT soldiered on (later as HR-SHN of SAHSA). In April 1997 it was sold to Conair in Canada as C-FZCS and was converted to water bomber. By 2017 it still served in that role in Canada with Air Spray, fighting forest fires as Tanker 87.

Ordered by Braniff as long ago as 3.56 and delivered 6.59 as N9703C. Sold to TAN 12.70 and later went on to the Argentine Navy before returning to the US as N5535 with Evergreen in 5.87. Prepared at Shannon for Channel Express in 10.93 and became G-CHNX, making her last flight in 6.01. Scrapped at Bournemouth mid-2002 (nose saved and taken to Pershore)

Sold by Braniff to TAN in 8.69, ex N9710C. Converted to freighter with rear cargo door at Miami in 7.76. W/o at Tegucigalpa on 21.3.90, hitting hill on approach in poor weather
