Traded to Boeing 1969 and converted to freighter as HR-TNL for TAN. Descended below glideslope while approaching Tegucigalpa 21 March 1990 and flew into high ground.

With a somewhat stubby wing, and large props, the Electra packed a lot of action into a small space when underway. This one was lost in a hard landing in Honduras in 1990.

Seen in the older TAN livery, this Electra was originally Braniff's N9710C, and was destroyed in a crash in Honduras on 3/21/90..

Delivered new to Braniff Airways as N9710C in May 1962. Sold March 1968. Served TAN from August 1969, latterly as a freighter, until crashing in Honduras in March 1990.

Sold by Braniff to TAN in 8.69, ex N9710C. Converted to freighter with rear cargo door at Miami in 7.76. W/o at Tegucigalpa on 21.3.90, hitting hill on approach in poor weather
