Used for prone pilot research then film work. Looking very neglected with a soft tyre and in a rather scruffy hangar.

Many Sabena pilots will have trained on this yellow machine, later OO-SOL, now back in Britain as G-ANMY/DE474.Shown in Rollasons hangar , Croydon, after civil conversion.

1937-built six-seat Electra Junior executive aircraft. Ex NC17311, 42-38352 (UC-40D), LA620 (RAF) and G-AGWM. Visiting Croydon Airport from its Belgian base. Later sold to France.

Owned by the Mexican Government from August 1952 until 1956, but little used by that entity. Ex and returned to G-AGRR.

Standard Motors' "executive jet" was often based at Croydon. The Company badge is on its nose and a Standard Vanguard car stands ready at the left. Later to VR-TBN and ZK-BYN.

Swissair's first DC-3 and flagship of the fleet. Fitted with right hand door. Delivered from the Fokker DC-2/3 assembly line at Schiphol on 10 June 1937. Has the prewar style of titling below the cabin windows when operating to Croydon in 1938. Sold to Ozark in 1955 as N2815D. Image obtained over 50 years ago.
