Lined up on Rwy 31R. Spot 2 in the MRS Spotting Guide, at Impasse de la Piste, is a depressing garbage dump. You can however follow the bike path at the far end of the parking lot, carefully cross the D20E road and walk toward the airport fence near an old orchard. Here you can make approach shots and also shots like this if you position a stepladder on a slight elevation. It's possible to get the Rocher de Vitrolles in the frame. Heat haze may be an issue though.
