As they were first built, the "D" model was virtually identical to earlier models of the aircraft except that it lacked the reconnaissance ability of earlier B-52s and was intended purely as a bomber. In 1965, modification of B-52D aircraft began to increase their conventional bomb load. The "Big Belly" modifications resulted in the ability to carry a total 108 conventional bombs both internally and externally. Markings displayed by this machine: 7th Bombardment Wing, Carswell AFB, Texas, 1981

Development of the C-124 began in 1947. Based on the short-lived C-74 the Globemaster II was intended to give the Air Force a long-range heavy-lift capability. The Globemaster II entered service in 1950 and they remained in use well into the 1970s. Markings: 901st Military Airlift Group, Laurence G. Hanscom AFB, 1972

The SNB-2C is the designation given to AT-7s built for the US Army but transferred to the Navy while under construction. In the early 1950s, the SNB-2s were returned to Beech for re-manufacturing and modernization. They returned to service as SNB-5s. The designation was finally changed to UC-45J in the early 1960s when the Navy changed their primary mission from training to utility transport. Markings displayed on this airframe: U.S. Army, 1967

In late 1964 three F-4Bs were converted to test numerous improvements to the basic design and designated YF-4J. Improved aerodynamics to lower take-off distances and decrease landing speeds, improved engines, upgraded radar, and better ground attack ability were the primary changes. Over 500 of this version of the Phantom were built between 1966 and 1972. Markings shown on this airframe: Naval Air Test Facility, Naval Air Station, New Jersey, 1974
