Romania was the Partner Nation for NATO Days 2019 and so it was great to see a variety of disfferent display from its Air Force.

This Grizzly was the support aircraft for the Patrouille de France display earlier in the day and is pictured lining up on rw22 for departure, Unfortunately, during its take-off run No.3 engine had to be shut-down and the aircraft went tech. It sat parked up for the rest of the following day.

This Czech-built CS-102 actually flew for the Polish AF as '266' and was modified to a SBLim-2 version before being sold to an owner in the USA in 1994 and registered N41125. It was bought by Czech Flying Legends in 2014 and returned to airworthy condition. It is pictured here landing on rw22 after a super display at NATO Days 2019. Note the real Czechoslovak AF Midget '2514' was cn 922514.

The twin-engined, multipurpose W-3 Sokół (Falcon) is the first helicopter entirely designed and produced in Poland. This example is pictured during a MEDEVAC solo display at NATO Days 2019.

The Mi-35 is the export version of the Mi-24V, Hind-E. This example put on a fine display at NATO Days 2019.

Romania was the partner nation for NATO Days 2019. The Șoim (Hawk) is a Romanian advanced trainer and light attack aircraft capable of performing close air support and reconnaissance missions. The type replaced the Aero L-29 Delfin and Aero L-39 Albatros as the jet trainer for the Romanian Air Force. '725' is pictured here on a long, low take-off from rw04 to open the flying display on the second day of this show.

This was the first time for me to see a jet glider display and I was utterly captivated. Poetry in very graceful motion at NATO Days 2019. Operated by Prvni brnenska strojirna.

Both the Gripen and Extra EA-300SR OK-SON are pictured getting airborne off rw22 at the start of a superb joint display at NATO Days 2019.

To see (and hear!) a MiG-21 display was an aviation highlight that I'll remember for a long, long time!

This was one of the support aircraft for NATO Days 2019 and is pictured here on very short final fot rw22. It only stayed on the ground for a hour or so before departing (presumably back to Kbely). The frame was originally delivered to the Czechoslovak AF back in August 1985.
