This Vampire represents Vampire T.55 15027/PX-M, that flew with the Norwegian AF from 1952 to 1955.

Started life in Sep 1942 as 08109 of the US Navy. Sold to the Danish Air Force in Sep 1951 as 82-857 "Munin", withdrawn from use on 14 October 1967 and stored at Værlose. Bought by Jens Larsen and transported to his farm near Plejerup, Denmark. Acquired by the museum in November 1989 in poor condition and beautifully restored and painted in Norwegian markings, as seen here.

At Flying Legends 2014. Painted in unusual Norway AF / RAF No. 20 Transport Squadron markings, which were only briefly carried in Norway between June 1945 and Feb 1946. This Squadron, unrelated to the RAF's own No.20 Squadron, was in fact a continuation of the German Air Force 20 Transportfliegergeschwader. The squadron, formally controlled by the RAF, was the first step in re-establishing civil aviation in Norway after the war, using several DC-3s and Lockheed L-18 Lodestars. In 1946 the DC-3s were transferred to DNL, Norway's main pre-war airline and one of the predecessors of SAS. Looking spotless and superb

This aircraft is painted in the colours of the Norwegian Air Force. It was seen at a Harvard meet at Bassingbourn. The aircraft was sold to Canada in 2003, but returned into the British register in 2017.
