Originally built as a military airport in 1938 and used during WWII as Heinkel's Southern facility. Construction of the new airport started in 1959, with various infrastructural upgrades throughout the years. The airport is the hub for Austrian Airlines and focus city for Ryanair and Wizz Air. Fun fact; the aircraft at the gate on the bottom right is the Emirates Dubai Expo Airbus A380 (A6-EOT).

Built in 1987 and at the time of the photo the main airport for Izmir. The airport has 2 runways (16L-34R and 16R-24L. both 10.630ft/3.240m long), but they can never be operated simultaneously due to the proximity to each other and the lack of a dedicated taxi track in between. It's easy to see which runway is used the most. The airport is a hub for Corendon, Pegasus and SunExpress, although you will find a number of low cost & legacy airlines and your regular summer holiday airlines there as well. To the top left is Gaziemir Air Base, operated by the Air Force Training Command. It hosts the 203rd SAR sqn with their CASA CN235M-100's.

Münster/Osnabrück airport was officially opened on March 27, 1972, following 5 years of construction. The first charter flight took place in 1973. In 1986, the airport gained the status of international airport. It features 1 runway (07/25, with a length of 7.119ft/2.170m) and an apron with 5 jet bridge stands for mid-sized aircraft (B737/A320, up to B757) as well as a number of remote (bus-boarding) stands. Eurowings and Lufthansa have scheduled services to Mallorca, Frankfurt and Munich. Aegean, Corendon, Ryanair, and Sunexpress have seasonal services to various holiday destinations.

Originally the airport was located closer to Kavala, where it was operated from 1952. In 1981, the airport was moved to its current location, enabling better service to the nearby island of thasos and the city of Xanthi, as well as continued service to the cities of Kavala and Drama. The airport was initially named Kavala National Airport, indicating a clear message to the extent of services. In December 1987 the airport was renamed Kavala International Airport and in January 1992 again renamed to Kavala International Airport - Megas Alexandros. In December 2015, the airport was privatized, to be operated by a joint venture between Fraport and Copelouzos Group. The airport mainly serves holiday airlines on seasonal services.

Kaklıç Air Base is the airport on the left. It has 9.843ft/3000m runway (17/35). A number of transport-size aircraft are visible on the main apron, but the original photo was too blurry to identify the aircraft type. To the right is Çiğli Air Base. It has one 9.820ft/2.993m runway (17/35). The latter was the main airport for Izmir until Adnan Menderes airport opened in 1987. The new airport is located to the South of the metropolitan area.

Delivered to Singapore Airlines in March 1996 as 9V-SPH. To Pullmantur Air in May 2010 as EC-LGL. To El Al in February 2011. Withdrawn from use and stored at Tel Aviv in June 2017. Preserved here in 2019 as an instructional frame for the armed forces to simulate hijackings. Between 2000-2018 4X-AXA (B747-258B) was located on this spot for the same purpose. However, that frame was broken up at Tel Aviv in October 2018.

Delivered to El Al in May 1995. Withdrawn from use and stored at Tel Aviv in November 2019.
