The sailplane PIK-20 of the Polyteknikkojen Ilmailukerho was success. By using PIK-20B as a basis Jukka Tervamäki and Eiriavion Oy built a motor glider equipped with retractable Rotax 503 engine. The maiden flight was in October 1976. Prototype JT-6 lead to PIK-20E motor glider production. In all, 103 PIK-20Es were built in Finland and 17 in France. PIK-16 is a Finnish single-seat sailplane. It was designed by Kurt Hedström and Tuomo Tervo as scholary thesis within Polyteknikkojen Ilmailukerho. The aircraft was one of the last series-built wooden sailplanes. The prototype first flew in 1961. A V-tail proved unsuccessful and it was substituted by traditional T-tail. 56 Vasamas were built. 52 of them were version PIK-16c and 40 of them exported. Mr Pentti Kyrölä designed and build a wooden single-engine and single-seat aircraft in 1948-1949. The aircraft was built without any strength calculations and it was not registered. Mr Pentti Kyrölä designed and build a wooden single-engine and single-seat aircraft in 1948-1949. The aircraft was built without any strength calculations and it was not registered. It flew first time in 1926 and damaged seriously in forced landing next year. The aircraft was not repaired and the owners dealed the remainings. Mr Atte Blomqvist donated remainings owned by him to the Finnish Aviation Museum in 1983. The Jämi Flying Club designed and built a prototype of structurally simple basic glider Harakka I during the winter 1944-1945 by using an Soviet Antonov US-3 glider found at Petroskoi in 1941 as a basis. In all, 28 Harakka Is as well as 25 enhanced Harakka IIs and a prototype of the Harakka III were built. The aircraft type was used until 1964. H-56 was built in 1952.
