This is the second Boorabee made and it was registered with the RAAus on Armistice Day 1993. It's actually incorrectly marked as it should be showing the 19- prefix. Seen here at the Queensland International Airshow.

The -55M is a short-wing version of the Yak-55, for improved roll-rate. This Queensland-based aircraft, one of only two in Australia, was manufactured in 1995 and first registered in Australia as VH-UOS(3) on 24 June 2003. It's seen here taxying for departure at the Wide Bay International Airshow.

A very rare type in Australia - in fact, the only one of its kind! This aircraft was built in its native Sweden by Sixten Gustavsson between 1973 and 1993, it was acquired by its current owner in 2005. When the owner moved back to Australia, the aircraft came too and was fortuitously registered VH-XHP on 18 May 2007. It's seen here visiting the Wide Bay International Airshow.

This 1981 Skyhawk is obviously based in Moree, NSW, and is seen here heading home after the Queensland International Airshow. It was originally registered N53487, then N1590C, but not for long as it was quickly exported to Australia and became VH-FEA on 14 July 1981.

This aircraft presented something of a mystery! Sister-ship VH-YKO was damaged in an accident at Archerfield on 22 Nov 2006. Because the aircraft are used for warbird adventure flights and all the publicity brochures showed VH-YKO, replacement VH-YRO was painted in identical markings, even down to the 'bullet holes' and VH-YKO's cn on the fin! This aircraft was first registered in Australia on 11 July 2006. Incidentally, the fuselage code is the owner's initials.

This Rockhampton-based Seneca was registered new in Australia on 28 October 1977. It's seen here departing the Wide Bay International Airshow.

The Queensland Government's Hawker brought in some big nobs to open the Wide Bay International Airshow. This 2006 aircraft was bought new for the Queensland Government, their third Hawker/HS125 to carry the registration VH-SGY. This one was briefly registered N37070 for test-flying before transferring to the Australian Register on 6 July 2006.

This aircraft was built to an RAF order as EX184 and allocated USAAC serial 41-33157 for administrative purposes. It was diverted to New Zealand where it entered service as NZ1006 in Sep 1942. Demobbed in 1978, shipped to Australia and stored at Albury til 1981. Acquired by Randal McFarlane for restoration at Bankstown 82-86, first flight 10 May 86. Owned during 1988-90 by aerobatic ace Chris Sperou, then moved to Alice Springs and Kalgoorlie. Resident in Queensland since Jan 2007.

This Jab is a long way from home - it's registered to an owner in Perth! It is seen here visiting the Wide Bay International Airshow. It was registered VH-ILL(2) on 5 October 2007.

This relatively early Wirraway had the real RAAF serial A20-81 and served with 5 SFTS. Retired in May 1957, it was sold for scrap. Rescued by Pearce Dunn and kept at his museum at Mildura 1975-80. Restored at Essendon 87/89 and Caboolture 92/95. Currently based Caboolture and seen here at the Wide Bay International Airshow.

This 1966 Queen Air was imported new, as the rego implies, for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. It carried the US rego N9506Q for the ferry and was re-registered VH-FDV(2) on 19 April 1966. Subsequently sold and operated for a time by Skytours, which specialised in outback tourist flights. Currently based in Queensland, it flew in to the Wide Bay International Airshow each day for static display alongside a current RFDS King Air.

This Hervey Bay-based RV-6A was departing from the Queensland International Airshow. Its cn shows it was built, or at least started, in NSW and it was registered on 9 December 1999.

Although registered to an operator in Donald, Victoria, this Seeker seems to be operated as a company demonstrator by the manufacturer. It was registered on 22 December 2006 and is seen here just airborne for base at Hervey Bay after being on static display at the Queensland International Airshow.

This Winjeel had its first flight at CAC's Fisherman's Bend aerodrome on 12 August 1957 and subsequently joined the RAAF as A85-455. Following retirement, it was stored, dismantled, from 1985 to 1996. Purchased at auction on 22 November 1996, it moved to Mareeba, Qld., for restoration. It was registered on 18 March 1997 and made its first post-restoration flight in August 1998. Seen here landing after a local flight at the Wide Bay International Airshow.

The afternoon arrival from Brisbane backtracking on Runway 14. This aircraft was test-flown as C-FERP before being registered in Australia on 1 February 2006. It was flown to Australia via Japan a few days later.
