This aircraft made its European debut at the Berlin ILA in May 2006 and has been re-engined to meet European noise level requirements as the type was banned from European Air Space in 2004. After an 11-hour flight it made its UK debut at Prestwick and parked on Apron Hotel to pick up a Jet Engine.

Landing on Runway 13 at Prestwick this 747 is a regular scheduled service. The railway bridge below the aircraft where the car is parked is a very popular viewing spot for photos when the runway is used in this direction.

Arriving at Glasgow to land on Runway 23 at 8-50pm this aircraft was operating for Greece Airways to cover their flights due to a temporary aircraft shortage. On the fin it says "JATE Jordan Aviation", with a stylised "J", referring to the company's full name, JATE Jordan Aviation Ltd.

This Easyjet aircraft spent the day at Prestwick on Crew training duties doing circuits and full stops for Crew changeovers, on this occasion it was doing a touch and go on Runway 13.

Passengers clad in orange - this aircraft flew a load of football fans to Leipzig, where the Dutch team beat Serbia and Montenegro in the World Cup this afternoon.

"Large Marge", ex USAF 54-709 and bought from Ray Petkow's Classics in Aviation in December 2003, is a famous aircraft. It featured as the "Jailbird" in the 1997 movie Con Air, in which it did all the flying scenes. It even had two stand-ins, for the destructive scenes. They were N94DT c/n 20155 and ex USAF 56-4361 c/n 20245. All three looked identical, and all wore registration N709RR. Very confusing, but the one in this photo is the only real N709RR. Unfortunately this rare aircraft crashed in Denali National Park on 2 August 2010. Three people lost their lives in the crash.

This Provider, ex USAF 56-4390, was on outdoor display at the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum at Anchorage International Airport for many years. In 2004 it was bought by All West Freight, dismantled, and trucked up north to their private All West Airport. It was obviously still dismantled when this photo was taken, but everything was there (the wings are stored to the right). By late 2017 nothing had changed - the aircraft was still there, in the exact same dismantled condition.

This is the General Aviation Freighter (GAF), designed by California-based Hawk Industries. It became known as the Gafhawk 125, and only one prototype was built, which first flew on 19 August 1982. The aircraft never went into production, and N101GH remained the only example of its type. It was initially equipped with a PT-6 turboprop engine, but in the early 1990s this was replaced by this Polish-built radial, which also powers the Antonov An-2. This unique aircraft made an emergency landing in a field in Alaska in 2011, and was abandoned at the accident site with only minor damage. It was still there by late 2017.
