Delivered new 13th Oct 1992 and went to Air Atlanta Iceland as TF-AMI 25th Feb 2005

Delivered new 16th March 1981 , converted to freighter and registered to Atlas Air as N527MC 12th Apr 1997. It was damaged beyond repair after cargo broke loose during take-off from DXXX (Lome), breaking through the rear bulkhead 2nd Feb 2008.

Delivered new to Wardair as C-GCWD 20th March 1988 and returned to lessor (Polaris) for onward lease to Kuwait Airways as A6-KUA 21st Aug 1991. Lease transferred to MEA as D-APOL 30th Aug 1993 and re-registered F-OHLH 3rd July 1995. Went to Air India as VT-EVG 19th July 2001

Delivered new 14th Dec 1990 and on the 16th Feb 1998 came in too high at Taipei so the crew decided to make a go-around but the aircraft stalled. Control couldn't be regained as the aircraft struck the ground 200ft left of the runway, hit a utility pole and a highway median. It then skidded into several houses, surrounded by fish farms, rice paddies, factories and warehouses, and exploded.

Ex N445BN, re-registered 22nd Nov 1983 and operated for many airlines before ending up with Cambodia International in Sep 1994. Became HS-PTA July 1995

Delivered new 28th Nov 1984 and became 3B-STJ 1st Oct 1997 with Middle East Airlines

The Olympia was a British re-design of the pre-war German glider of the same name, intended as a standard class for the 1940 Olympic Games. Three Chilton/EoN Olympias were built in Australia, this one by Norm Hyde of Australian Sailplanes in 1959. In later years it was owned by the late Mike Valentine, leaning on the wing in this shot. Mike was the first partner I had in my own aircraft. Today the Oly is still going strong in the hands of my friends Phil and Diane, based at Bacchus Marsh.
