This Herald was found next to road No.11, just north of Shuilian (south of Hualien). During our stop timber cladding was being applied inside and outside and we thought it might be converted to a cafe or house. The ex Far Eastern Air Transport machine was still visible on Google Earth images in 2004, but the next image (from 2010) it had disappeared. No idea what has happened to this airframe, but judging by its state in 1994, it is most likely scrapped. ex HB-AAG and G-ATHB.

Registered as G-ASVO before delivery to SADIA as PP-SDG in 1964. To British Midland as G-ASVO in 1973 then to British Air Ferries in 1977 and leased to various operators. To Channel Express in 1993. Damaged beyond repair in a ground accident at Bournemouth-Hurn in 1997 and scrapped. Front fuselage to Perth, Scotland then to Highland Aviation Museum at Inverness.
