Photographer not known. This image was taken at Coningsby at a press event for the Phantom's introduction to RAF service. Note the Whirlwind photo-ship in the background, from which newsreel footage was taken. XT892 was with No. 6 Squadron at this time, the unit being in the process of converting from Canberras. This machine survived right through to the end of the Phantom's days with the RAF, finishing up with No.74 Squadron at Wattisham in 1992.
