The race number "33" was for the 1934 King's Cup Air Race. G-ACPA was the last Parnall-built Gull Four (Napier Javelin III) but was converted to a Gull Six (DH Gipsy Six Srs I) at Gravesend and entered by Percival director Lt Cdr E W B Leake, pilot was Wally Hope. It failed to beat the handicappers and was eliminated during the qualifying heats. Regd 25 Feb 1935 to Sidney Lewis Turner, Croydon; regd 22 Aug 1935 to Brian Allen Aviation Ltd, Croydon. Crashed in bad weather St Reny de Provence, nr Avignon, France, 2 Oct 1935, en route Abyssinia; pilot Frederick Griffith badly injured.
