In September, 1910 the Peruvian pilot Geo Chavez became the first pilot to fly across the alps. This MB-339 is the 163rd frame produced and was the prototype for the C model. It was built in 1985 and first flew in December 1985. Its civil registration I-AMDA stands for AerMacchi Digital Avionics and in 1988 the plane flew a demonstration tour in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Australia. It made its last flight in March 1997 and was then stored at Venegono, before being loaned to Volandia in 2010 by Alenia Aermacchi.

This L-5 was TOC by the USAAF in March 1944. A month later it was on a convoy bound for the UK and assigned to the the 8th Air Force. After WWII it was used in Germany, as a liason/support plane for the US Army. It was donated to the Italian AF and used as a basic trainer with the military serial number 52882 an finished its active life at Lucca in June 1980. In April 1991 it was found wrecked without an engine, propeller, landing gear, instruments, some structural parts, and subject to fire damage. It was restored by GAVS Turin in 1992-94 in this D-Day scheme and came to Volandia in 2013.

This Museo Volandia is located and makes use of some of the original Caproni buildings. This Ca-18 is the sixth production aircraft, and accepted in March 1914 going on to serve with the 15th Squadriglia in April 1915 as the personal mount of Sub-Lieutenant Ettore Croce. It was initially preserved by the manufacturer, being displayed by the Caproni Museum in both Taliedo (1940) and Vizzola Ticino (1970-1986). It is owned by the Caproni family and recently underwent conservation work at Celin Avio.
