The great Paris-Saigon-Paris air race was not entirely successful - the only three participants, two Goélands and the Breguet 470 Fulgur prototype, all dropped out with technical problems. Flown by Challe and Brill, F-AOMX was painted blue and the sponsor logo of Ric et Rac magazine was red with a white and a black dog, Ric and Rac. Press photo assumed taken at the start of the race at Le Bourget.

On 1 February 1942 a French mechanic stole this Goéland light twin somewhere in Vichy France and landed it at Tregantle Beach near Plymouth. The aircraft wears blue, white and red bands on the fuselage and wings and lacks the yellow and red Vichy neutrality markings. Apparently it was subsequently transferred to the Free French forces in North Africa.
