After retirement from the Brazilian AF in 1981 the aircraft was acquired by warbird collector David Tallichet, registered N4582U and in 1983 flown to the USA. In 1984 Tallichet negotiated an arrangement with the U.S. Air Force Museum and the aircraft was flown to Kirtland AFB where it remained for several decades. The registration N4582U was cancelled on 2nd December 2016 as exported to the Russian Federation, and the aircraft was last reported in 2021 at the UMMC Museum in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk, Russia.

As far as I can find out the true identity of this airframe has never been established. It is often said to be c/n 19458 ex N3433E, but that airframe was discovered in the Basler store at Oshkosh in July 2010. It is painted to depict SC-47A 43-15732 which was destroyed when it hit high ground near Bao Lac, South Vietnam on 11th February 1962.
