The first of two which were built. First flew in 1975. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB in 1979. To the Pima Air Museum in 1981. Returned to flying status as N15YC in 1996. Damaged in an emergency landing at Palmdale in 1998. To Edwards AFB in 2008 and preserved.
69th BS, 42nd BW. Anybody lucky enough to have been at the Midenhall Air Fete in 1990 will never forget the display of this B-52G named 'Swashbuckler'. This sadly is the only half-decent shot that I managed to get because of the almost impossibility of photographing the flying display from the public enclosure. This B-52G was retired to AMARC on the 15th April 1993.
