Quite a cluttered view but that was the situation when looking at the port side of this lovely Conny, really F-BHML, in 2021. See her other photos at AirHistory for more information on her past.

Built in 1991 as a CBS-4 version, test flying as D-HFHZ. Served as a demonstrator for MBB (D-HMBM), American Eurocopter (N3203K) and Eurocopter Deutschland (D-HLFB) where it was upgraded to CBS-5 in 1994. To ADAC Luftrettung that year as such, where its career ended ditching into a river, in 2003. Stored at Landshut in 2006, regi altered with tape into D-HLEB, and put on display that year as shown. Paint still slightly gives away altering of the registration.

Formerly D-CIAS and originally T.2B-144 for Spain. The real D-ANOY indeed has a history worth remembering. In 1937, it successfully completed a route probing flight to China and back, despite a forced landing after engine failure and the crew being caught in war actions in China. On 2 December 1938, enroute from Berlin to Damascus, it crashed in bad weather close to Wien-Aspern while diverting after a missed approach. The crew was badly hurt, the passengers hardly and all but the aircraft survived.

In reality this is T.2B-144 that flew with the EdA from 1949. In 1974 it became D-CIAS with Air Classik and then from 1994 it was displayed on the spectator terrace at FRA. In 1996 it moved to the Besucherpark at MUC and acquired these false markings. The real D-ANOY 'Rudolph von Thüna' was w/o in December 1938 a flight between Berlin and Vienna.

This Connie was originally delivered to Air France as F-BHML in February 1957 and also had spells with Tunis Air and Compagnie Air Fret before being retired in August 1976. It is now on display at the MUC Besucherpark as D-ALEM, the L-1049G that operated Lufthansa's first Intercontinental flight from Hamburg to New York in June 1955.

The real, historically significant HB-IRN is now on display at Lucerne. This is a former USAAF frame 41-20058 that later went on to fly in Scandinavian with DDL Danish Air Lines (OY-DCA), SAS (OY-KLE), Kar-Air (OH-KVA) and Nor-Fly (LN-KLV). It was sold as N65371. After retirement, from 1976 the plane was displayed on the viewing terrace at Frankfurt in 1989 as N569R, it was moved to the Historic Aeroplane collection at MUC in 1993.

At the Visitors Hill at MUC, a modern CRJ is framed with two great classic airliners, and opposing WWII workhorses, the Ju 52 and DC-3. Originally 41-2005, a rare C-53B, this aircraft served with several airlines in Scandinavia after the war (lastly with Nor-Fly as LN-KLV), but never with Swissair. Its last real registration was N65371. The real HB-IRN still exists in Lucerne.
