Bought by the Britannia Aircraft Preservation Trust in Oct 1997 and preserved at Kemble as XM496. Behind is G-BDUR c/n 13513. Both still in basic Royal Air Force colour scheme.

Having just uploaded this Britannia survivor as XM496 at Kemble, here she is in action during her Afrek career which lasted eight years from 1976, ending in storage at ATH and sale to Cuba

Still showing its RAF Transport Command heritage, this Britannia was taken on charge as XM519 "Capella" in 2.60. One of two bought by Afrek in 1976 for cargo work and wfu early eighties but sold to Aerocaribbean as CU-T121 in 8.84. Broken up for spares by Trans Air Cargo of Zaire at Havana in 11.95, just too soon for me as I was there the next month
