Impounded after the infamous 2001 attempt to land 271kg of cocaine when Captain Barrett-Jolley taxied to the end of 24 out of sight of the control tower and held while five suitcases were thrown out of the opened door. Unbeknown to the crew, Customs and the Police were in wait. It was great to see a few Boeing 707s at Sharjah. This example looks to be in very good condition though it has not apparently flown for some time. Let us hope that it is able to take to the sky again one day. Update. It did fly again but was destroyed by fire at Istanbul on 22nd December 2005.
