Ex VT-DXT which had been delivered to Air India in August 1968. Making an extremely rare visit to Heathrow, this 707 was transferred to the Indian AF in April 1987. Most recently recorded as stored having been converted for ELINT operations

Immaculate 57-year HS-748 flying by at Aero India 2019 with a Kiran Mk.1 in echelon. This is the first Avro 748 assembled by the IAF at Kanpur through the efforts of AVM Harjinder Singh, AOC Maintenance Command. It flew on 1 Nov 1961 after the second prototype flew on 10 Apr 1961 in the UK, thereby making it the third Avro 748 to take to the air. It was titled 'Subroto' in honor of late Air Marshal Subroto Mukherjee, the first Indian C-in-C and Chief of the Air Staff of the IAF. The aircraft was demonstrated in front of PM Nehru at Palam. Later it did a SE Asia tour in 1962.
