Ex N1549 of Braniff/Allegheny/USAir/Florida Express and EI-BWP back with the resurrected Braniff. To ADC in December 1990 and seen here soon after being withdrawn from use. Broken up in August 1996

slide scan from the NK collection. - Allegheny Airlines got this BAC 1-11 from Braniff Airways in 1972 and used it until 1985; from October 1979, however, under the new airline name US Air. - Finally, the pictured jet flew for ADC Airlines of Nigeria as 5N-AYY between 1990 and 1995; it was retired at Southend and broken up one year later.

In Oct 94 ADC Airlines returned this aircraft to GPA from whom it had been leased. It was purchased by Hold-Trade Air (Nigeria) in Aug 96 and was dismantled as a source of spares for their remaining BAC 1-11. The frame was of origin N1549 with Braniff Airways.

BAC-1-11 serial number 43, was delivered in 1965 to Braniff. Last owner was ADC Air from Nigeria, which was finally broken up at Southend in the mid 90s

Delivered new to Braniff, and purchased from them by Allegheny, but again flew for Braniff when they absorbed Florida Express.
