The aircraft later served with US Navy and finally with the National Nuclear Security Administration as N45NA. In June 2020, it was auctioned as such, still being stored at its base Kirtland, NM.

This is former PH-MAR, a DC-9-33RC of Martinair. The aircraft was delivered in April 1969 and served the Dutch company until late 1982. It became N909DC with McDonnel Douglas and was converted for military service. The DC-9 was delivered to the US Navy in June 1983, was redesignated to C-9B, and served VR-51 until the mid-nineties. Was transferred to VR-52 (initially named Spirit of Valley Forge, later Spirit of Somerset County) and retired from US Navy service in October 2003. It was transferred to the National Nuclear Security Administration and became N45NA.

A Martinair invasion of Glasgow, bringing Ajax football fans for a European Cup game in Glasgow versus Celtic. Beside PH-MAR is PH-MAX. Further behind are Fellowship PH-MAT, another DC-9 (either PH-MAN or PH-MAO, both were present), and DC-8 PH-DCD.
