DC-3 N129H of The Mister Douglas Society recently completed a 4 year restoration at Tullahoma, TN, and was flown from there to Deland, FL on a ferry permit on 13 November 2022, its first flight in 22 years. Restoration will be completed at Deland and it is hoped to have it on the airshow circuit in 2023.

Used for many years at a number of locations to carry skydivers, but at the time of the photo had been parked out of use at Tullahoma for some time. However, the aircraft is now being actively restored to airworthiness by a group called The Mr. Douglas Society, Inc. and both engines were recently run for the first time in many years.

Much later it was used as a skydiving platform in Florida (Photo ID: 63435) and in 2021 was registered to a preservation organization in Indiana.
