The MiG-19PM entered production in 1957. It had no cannon armament, but could carry four Kaliningrad K-5M missiles (AA-1 Alkali in NATO parlour). On 19 June 1973, this example was added to the ever expanding collection at Monino.

The MiG-19 was the first Soviet production aircraft capable of level supersonic flight. The PM version (Farmer-E) entered production in 1957 and had the cannons removed and replaced by four Kaliningrad K-5M (AA-1 'Alkali') beam-riding missiles. This example is on display at the Central Museum of the Air Forces at Monino.
