On display at the Museum of Flight. This is the ultimate -1 variant that saw many improvements, including the addition of a 160 gal. jettisonable centreline tank and the carrying of two 1,000lb bombs on stub-wing pylons. Goodyear was responsible for many modifications. Built in April 1945, this aircraft was assigned to CV-11 USS Intrepid. It was transferred to NAS Sand Point, Seattle in 1950 and ditched in Lake Washington after a mid-air collision with another Corsair. It was recovered from a depth of 183 feet in 1983, after which restoration started.

Afer the war she was transferred to the Naval Reserve and stationed at NAS Sand Point.
