Ex VH-EBL, to Braniff in June 1969 and operated in lime green, red and red/gold liveries before going to Merpati in July 1976 on lease, becoming PK-MBA in 1979. Sold to Omega Air at the end of 1986, wfu at Shannon in 1988 and broken up in 1993

Still wearing basic Merpati livery, having last been operated by that carrier as PK-MBA. Before that, the aircraft has served initially with Qantas as VH-EBL and then Braniff as N107BN. Having been purchased by dealer Omega Air in 1987 as a source of parts, N46D was eventually scrapped at Shannon in summer 1993.

Delivered to Qantas as VH-EBL on 19 Aug 1964. To Braniff as N107BN on 19 Jun 1969. Leased to Merpati on 15 Jul 1976. Reregistered to PK-MBA in May 1979. To Omega Air in Dec 1986 and noted derelict at Shannon in Oct 1989. Broken up at Shannon by 31 Jul 1993.

Freshly painted, N107BN is seen here undergoing the last stages of its pre-delivery overhaul. Qantas sold four of its 707-138Bs to Braniff. They had been custom made for Qantas with fuselages shorter than the standard 707-100 for better performance out of restricted airports. Braniff's need for special performance on South America routes had seen it became the only operator of the 707-200, a -100 series with the more powerful JT4A engines from the -300 series.

VH-EBL delivered to Qantas in August 1964 and flew with the airline for only four years. It was then parked at Sydney airport for a year until sold to Braniff as N107BN in June 1969.
