There were several Grumman Mallards serving Southern British Columbia coastal destinations from Vancouver in the mid 70s to the mid 80s. This one was first with Superior Oil as NC2964 / N2964 1947 - 62 based the first two years in Egypt. Pictured with North Coast Air Services 1974 - 88, it migrated south to Australia like a couple of Air BC Mallards, becoming VH-OAW for Seair Pacific Pty / Reef World Airlines in 1989. Sold to Paspaley Pearling Co, in 2002, the aircraft was registered VH- PPI after it was rebuilt with PT-6A-34 turbine engines in 2005.

Australian turbine (PT-6A-34) conversion developed by Paspaley with assistance of Sky West Engineering. Three conversions done between 1997 and 2005, this was the last one (completed in February 2005).

Parked outside the General Aviation Terminal and photographed from the very useful northerly pier. To C-GHDD in 1974. Cancelled 7 May 1988. To VH-OAW and then to turbine power as VH-PPI.
