Last flown by the RAE to test the development of automatic thrust control systems for delta-wing aircraft. Following withdrawal the aircraft spent a short time on the fire dump at Colerne before being rescued and taken to Finningley for restoration with maintenance serial 7868M. Later moved to Cosford and after further restoration in1982 at Brize Norton, to the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. Following the closure of the museums Air and Space Hall in 2021 the aircraft moved to the Boscombe Down collection at Old Sarum.

The third Avro 707 airframe, following on the 707B, VX790. First flight on 4 June 1951. During 1954 its wing was given a kinked leading edge as adopted on Vulcan. Transferred to RAAF for research flights at Laverton in 1956, painted silver rather than red. Survives in RAAF Museum collection.

Built locally in 1953 at Woodford for experimental purposes to test the delta wing configuration for the up coming Vulcan bomber. The Avro 707 was a one third scale model for the bomber. After being WFU it was preserved at the RAF museum at Cosford. In 1982 it went to Brize Norton for restoration before being transferred to the Museum of Science & Industry. Moved in 2022 to the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection at Old Sarum.
