Built locally in 1953 at Woodford for experimental purposes to test the delta wing configuration for the up coming Vulcan bomber. The Avro 707 was a one third scale model for the bomber. After being WFU it was preserved at the RAF museum at Cosford. In 1982 it went to Brize Norton for restoration before being transferred to the Museum of Science & Industry. Moved in 2022 to the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection at Old Sarum.
