Operated by the RCAF as 2334 between 1952 and 1970, this Beech 3NM is seen before the start of the 1971 London to Victoria Air Race. It was struck off the Canadian register in 1997 and was last reported in 2016 as stored by the Nanton Lancaster Society Museum

The aircraft was one of the contestants in the London to Victoria, BC. air race that had gathered at Abingdon prior to the start. It was removed from the Canadian register in March 1997 and was last reported stored with the Nanton Lancaster Society Museum, at Nanton, AB. in June 2001.

This was the only shot I got of this Expeditor without the pilots jacket hanging on the tailfin after he dropped in at Heathrow for a break before the July 71 Victoria B.C Air Race. I gave him directions to Richmond, Surrey for a Hotel with a view of the Thames and the LHR flight path. I hope he had a quiet time!
