On display at a roundabout in Lignano Sabbiadoro and dedicated as a memorial to former Frecce Tricolori pilot Maj Pasqualino Gorga who was killed whilst flying RF-104G MM6646/3/50. The plane was in a formation of three that had departed Villafranca and were practicing manoeuvres over the sea near Marano Lagunare (off Udine). The Major, whilst attempting to rejoin the other two aircraft, flew a tight left turn but lost situational awareness and crashed into the water.

In the early eighties the large unit codes of the Italian air force were slowly disappearing. This is the last one I ever saw.
