US Air Force 45-35875 was used post-war by Rock Island Oil & Refining Co registered as N4816E. Coming to Canada in 1963 as CF-PGF, Air Spray bought it and after conversion, put it into service in 1970 as their first A-26 air tanker. Airspray has a few A-26s left at their Red Deer, AB base after retirement of the fleet and there are plans to keep Tanker 1 and someday mount it on a plinth.

Together with C-GHZM/58 "Fire Eaters", two long-time Red Deer residents. It had been eleven years already since their retirement.

Eight Invaders in a row. This will never be seen again. C-FPGF is still there, and eventually will be mounted on a plinth in front of the Air Spray Hangar. End of a fantastic era in fire fighting.

The Air Spray Invaders had some interesting nose art.

This Invader has been pulled out of the for sale lineup out back and is now in front of the maintenance hangar. This aircraft is supposedly going to be preserved in front of the hangar and mounted on a plinth.

One of 13 A-26 aircraft stored at Red Deer after being retired from airtanker duties last in 2004. A 14th aircraft was in the hangar being readied for a new owner in Australia.
