A77-702 at Richmond, where it had been based as a communications aircraft with 38 Squadron, awaiting its final flight to RAAF Laverton in Victoria for use as an instructional airframe. It would later became the base gate guardian before being passed to the RAAF Museum at Point Cook in 1971.

A77-702 was delivered to the RAAF in Korea during the Korean War as an urgent upgrade from Mustangs. It flew on with the service until 1963 when it became an instructional airframe, then a gate guardian at Laverton and finally a museum exhibit.

Built in 1951 for RAF as WA732 but diverted to Australia as A77-305. Later reserialled A77-702. Preserved at Point Cook.
