Ex FMS 80-0135

This Hip was built as as a Mi-8S and TOC with the NVA as '970' in March 1976. It was later converted to a Mi-8PS and also became '9319' after German re-unification and served until retirement in 1994. It is now on display at this amazing private collection in its original TG-44 NVA markings. The collection are happy to allow visitors but please always have the courtesy to ask at reception for permission to enter the site.

The Fokker company turned out a remarkable number of different aircraft types, all manufactured in an old cramped factory in North Amsterdam. The last of these before the war, the T.IX bomber, was a milestone towards modernity as it was the first all-metal Fokker. Visible from the road bridge over the Weser River, this sorry heap of military junk belonged to a motor museum. It had been cleared by 2018.
