This Herc was accepted by the USAF in September 1956 as a standard C-130A cargo aircraft serving the US, Europe and Panama. In 1970 it was converted to an AC-130A gunship, deploying to Southeast Asia in 1971 where it flew numerous combat missions, returning to the US in June 1975. In 1991 it deployed to the Persian Gulf and participated in Desert Storm operations before being retired and flown to the museum in 1995

This Herc was built as a C-130A and TOC by the USAF in November 1957. It was subsequently converted into a AC-130A Spectre and has been preserved at the MoA since 1995.

Delivered in 09.57 as a C-130A. Converted to AC-130A and served on Special Operations with 919 SOW.
