100 Super Sabres were supplied to France under the US Military Air Program. When they were replaced by the Jaguar, the survivors were mostly returned to the USAF and most of those via 7519 Combat Support Squadron at Sculthorpe where they were either scrapped or passed on to UK museums or other USAF bases. The first aircraft arrived in November 1975. They were delivered by EC 70 whose "MA" to "MZ" codes they generally wore although retaining the '11' prefix of EC 1/11, 2/11 or 4/11. 42146 was scrapped at Sculthorpe in 1976.
