Built in 1985 or 1986, this VIP configured Super Puma is seen here taking off at Seletar Airport in Singapore, after maintenance was performed by local company Singapore Technologies Aerospace (STA). The helicopter was delivered to China's People Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and has at some point been re-registered to civilian registration B-7949. Former SX-BBP (delivered 26 March 1971) with Olympic Airways up to late 1980, sold to the Hellenic Air Force and reserialled into 2153. The aircraft served 356 MTM until late 1994 and was dumped at Elefsis.

A rare military type in Europe were the Greek YS-11s. The Greek used this camouflaged one as a cargo aircraft and was known as SX-BBP before it became 2153. The YS-11 was assigned to 356 MTM. It was last seen as withdrawn from use at Elefsis in late 2009.

Messerschmitt produced 283 F-104s and, in total, West Germany received some 916 F-104s, of which 749 were F/RF-104G. The type entered service in July 1960, with deliveries continuing until March 1973. It remained in operational service until October 1987 but continued in use for test purposes until May 1991. The poor safety record in service is well documented with 110 Luftwaffe and Marineflieger pilots killed in the type.
